the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness: Starting this season for AAA Academy, we are presenting The Code of Conduct & Team Values page. This is a document that we expect each and every team member, coach, executive member, parent and legal guardian to adhere to. This season AAA Academy aims to simulate a positive, respectful and a conducive environment for athletes to feel welcomed, mutually respected and to naturally achieve their basketball ambitions.
Arrive on time for practice and training(s)! The gym facility we use for training is blocked for only a select period of time. This means being late is not acceptable and jeopardizes the progression and start to practice. Attendance is recorded ! This season athletes can only miss up to and including 5 practices. Missed practices cannot be consecutive without valid reason. If you do not attend practice and crossfit training regularly, the result will be little to no playing time during games and potential removal from the team entirely.
❖ During practice, it is important to enter the facility, focussed and prepared to work. Always give your best efforts. ❖ Use this opportunity to focus on a skill you are aiming to develop and improve upon. ❖ Use your coaching staff to guide you and develop your skill. ❖ Your academic commitment is also important; prioritize academics and fulfill school and educational commitments at all costs. Seek help from your academic institution for support. ❖ Respect for Coaches and Staff: during practices, tournaments and in any communication channels (Slack and emails). Misconduct and/or derogatory words used are not tolerated. In any event, disciplinary actions are to be followed. ❖ Sportsmanship: Display good sportsmanship during games. Derogatory terms used during games are not tolerated, disciplinary actions are to be followed. Communicate openly and respectfully with coaches and teammates. Address conflicts or disagreements with teammates/coaches/staff members privately and respectfully. Seek assistance if necessary.
